Santa Fe, New Mexico

The Committee’s first hearing took place on November 16-17, 2015, in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the New Mexico State Capitol Building.  The hearing was scheduled to coincide with the annual national Assistant Federal Defender training.

The Committee’s focus at this initial hearing was Criminal Justice Act issues involving Native Americans, the border, and training of criminal defense attorneys.
